Dominican leader meets Spanish par in criticized tour

Santo Domingo.- Dominican republic president Leonel Fernandez was received by Spain prime minister Mariano Rajoy on Tuesday, accompanied by wife Margarita, before a meeting at Moncloa Palace in Madrid.

The meeting marks the first high level encounter scheduled during his 10 day tour of several European capitals, slated to conclude in Brussels.

Locally Fernandez has been criticized for taking along to Europe and entourage of at least 27 people, which led some media to demand disclosing whether the tour is paid with taxpayer money.
