Scattered showers today, mostly sunny Wednesday

Santo Domingo.- A trough over Haiti and a weak tropical wave over the central portion of the country will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, more frequent in the Northeast, Southeast, Central Mountains and border area.

The National Meteorological Office forecasts increasing possibility of rainfall for the afternoon and early evening hours, and partly cloudy skies for the rest of the island.

Expect mostly sunny skies for Wednesday, with a slight increase in rainfall Thursday.

It forecasts seasonably high temperatures Wednesday and cooler on Thursday.

Small craft should remain close to shore along the Caribbean coast, on higher than normal waves.
