Widely scattered showers, thunderstorms

Santo Domingo.-The National Meteorology Office forecasts that a trough and the prevailing east-northeast wind will bring widely scattered showers and thunderstorms to the north, northeast, southeast and central mountains.

It said precipitation will be more intense in the afternoon and early evening hours.

Meteorology also cautions small craft along the Caribbean Coast to remain near shore, on still higher than normal waves and wind.
