Scattered showers for the west; mostly sunny in the east

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office forecasts scattered showers with thunderstorms in various parts of the country Thursday afternoon, from the humidity associated with a trough .

It said the rains will be more frequent in the western and central regions, decreasing at night.

Meteorology forecasts a slight increase in showers Friday, more frequent and intense over the northeast and east.

It said the seasonably high temperatures and scattered showers will continue over the central and border zones Saturday afternoon.
