Police seize 4 assault rifles, arrest 3

Santo Domingo.-The National Police seized several guns in a house in Santo Domingo East, where three people were also detained Thursday afternoon.

Implements to handle controlled substances were also confiscated during the raid of a residence on a street near the busy Venezuela Av., Santo Domingo East.

Among the weapons seized by agents figure two M-16, and two MP5 rifles, said police spokesman Maximo Baez, who went to the scene.

Also seized were bullet proof vests and ammunition, and various baseball caps with the National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) logo.
