Tropical wave brings showers

SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) forecasts thunderstorms and scattered showers with occasional gusts, from a tropical wave moving across the Mona Passage.

It said the showers will be more frequent and intense over the Southeast, Southwest, Central Mountains and the Caribbean coast, mostly in the afternoon and evening.

Onamet adds that temperatures will continue seasonably high during the day from the prevailing east-southeast wind.
