Readers rate an otherwise aloof Medina as fair on media’s access

Santo Domingo.- Although close to half of DT readers feel that president elect Danilo Medina hasn’t “pressed the flesh” with constituents prior to taking office on August 16, more than a third say he has been balanced in public appearances.

When asked “How has Medina handled himself during the transition?,” the response “Too aloof for my taste” drew 160 votes, or 40.51%, followed by “Has balanced his appearances” with 144 votes, or 36.46%

In third was the option “Too much access for the media,” with 48 votes, or 12.15%, followed by “He’s just too tough to gauge,” with 43 votes, of 10.89% of the readers who took part in the unscientific weekly poll.
