Journalist killed in road accident

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican mediacommunity is mourning one of its members following the tragic death of RosarioOlivo and driver Julio Holguín from the Government Information Center (CIG), ina road accident as they were traveling to Santiago to cover the program of inaugurationsby president Leonel Fernández.

The accident occurred yesterday near ArroyoHuerta on the Duarte highway when one of the vehicle tires exploded and the driver lost control. Cameraman Juan Santamaría (La Greña) andphotographer Ramón Cuevas were injured in the accident.

President Fernández conveyed his condolences to the relatives.
