Environment chief aims to forge bonds for the country’s interest

Santo Domingo.- The Environment and Natural Resources Ministry plans to adhere to a policy of transparency and openness for all sectors, aimed at promoting a new culture of closeness with society regarding the environment and the natural resources.

In statement issued Monday, Environment minister Bautista Rojas starting today he’ll hold a series of meetings including academicians, business leaders, local merchants, education authorities, international organizations, environmentalists and students, among others to materialize that policy.

He said the issue of protecting the environmental and natural resources cannot be assumed with sectarianism or preconceived ideas, but in terms of Dominican Republic’s true interests instead.
