Two alleged robbers lynched in Santiago

Santiago, DR.– Two men from Santiago were reportedly lynched for stealing three cell phones and $10,000 pesos (US$250), Listin Diario reported.

According to the paper, six men attempted to rob Norbeto Filpo’s home in Guyacanal. The men were known to the community as trouble makers and had committed other robberies.

Two of them were caught by some residents and were beaten and then shot to death before the police arrived. They were identified as Ruben Almonte and Richard Perez Capellan.

One of the alleged robbers, Oscar Manuel Luciano (aka El Sureñito), 18, was arrested by police agents.
