Tropical wave brings showers, thunderstorms

Santo Domingo.- A tropical wave over Puerto Rico, moving west, is expected to cross the Dominican territory Tuesday afternoon and evening, which combined with a trough located in the eastern Cuba will bring downpours, the Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts today.

It said the showers will be accompanied by thunderstorms for the North, Northeast and Southeast, gradually spreading to the rest of the country.

Onamet said the showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind will continue through Thursday afternoon and early evening over the southern coast, Central Mountains and border zone.
