American Airlines 757 makes emergency landing, no one hurt

Santo Domingo.- An American Airlines jet on the Caracas-Miami route, with 173 people on board made ??an emergency landing Monday morning in the Las Americas International Aiport (AILA) reportedly on mechanical failure.

The Boeing 757 aircraft landed without incident at 9:36am, half an hour after the crew asked the control tower to land, when they noticed the failures in the plane.

Firs responders and airports management company (Aerodom) emergency crews went into action immediately after the aircraft’s pilots notified the tower.

Once on the ground, all passengers and crew were evacuated unhurt from the plane, which will reportedly undergo checks by technicians sent from Miami.
