Dominican hair shop shooting claims 4, NBC reports (UPDATE)

MIAMI.- Four women have been shot, three fatally, after a man opened fire inside the Las Dominicanas hair salon in central Florida, authorities said. The suspect left the salon and then fatally shot himself at a nearby home, according to police.

The gunman burst into Hair Salon in Casselberry and started shooting late Thursday morning, a witness told NBC , citing WESH-TV.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, three of the women were pronounced dead at the scene; the fourth victim was taken to an area hospital, where her condition was unknown.

The witness, who works at the hair salon near State Road 436 and Aloma Avenue, said some of the victims were his relatives.

Police say it was a domestic-related issue.

“Distraught relatives and friends of the victims were arriving at the salon, located in a small strip mall, Thursday afternoon,” reports WESH-TV.
