Obama wins by a wide margin, in Dom. Rep.

Santo Domingo.- The U.S. elects a president today Tuesday, but many Dominicans perceive president Barack Obama will stay in the White House four more years.

An elcaribe.com.do survey found that 89.7% of the people polled believe the head of the world’s most powerful nation will defeat Republican party challenger Mitt Romney, who’s tight race for the presidency .

Only 10.3% of the voters believe Romney will rise to power, which contrasts with the U.S. surveys that give the conservative American a good chance to dislodge the Democrats.
