Medina returns with a caution, and Rousseff’s pledge of visit

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina returned last night after attending the Latin American Summit of Heads of State and Government in Cadiz, Spain, where he warned of the risks of trimming social spending and proposed adopting a development model which promotes solidarity.

Medina arrived in the country at 7:55pm on an Air Europa flight from Madrid, where he flew after his speech during the summit.

Brazilian President

While in Spain Medina revealed that Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff will officially visit the country during the first few months next year, to materialize various cooperation initiatives, including one to deal with the country’s energy problem. Rousseff confirmed she had accepted Medina’s invitation made in July to visit the country.
