Alleged prostitute in Dominican scandal: I’m a virgin, don’t know Menendez

Santo Domingo. – One of the alleged prostitutes named in the scandal with New Jersey (D) senator and Foreign Relations Committee chairman Robert Menendez (Bob) on Monday said she doesn’t know the legislator and affirmed she’s a virgin.

Now 21, Yanerey Mariel Pujols, who was allegedly 17 at the time they allegedly had sex with the senator in the resort Casa Campo, La Romana, showed a medical certificate the local network CDN, in which an evaluation purportedly proves her virginity.

Official documents identify Pujols as a student and resident of Matanzas, Bani (south).

"That’s completely false. I don’t know this man (Menendez) and I haven’t even seen him on television," she said while fighting off tears.

Pujol’s name surfaced in connection with Menendez’s alleged tryst, a scandal in which prominent Dominican eye doctor Salomon Melgen has also been mentioned.
