Mild tremor felt in eastern region

Santo Domingo.– A minor 3.9-magnitude tremor on the scale of Richter shook the Altagracia province (east) 5:10 p.m. Friday, according to the U.S. Geodetic Survey’s (USGS) Web site. No injuries or damages were reported.

The USGS placed the epicenter around 12 kilometers east of Otra Banda, 17 kilometers east-northeast of Salvaleon de Higuey and 17 kilometers west-northwest of Punta Cana, at a depth of181 kilometers.
