A 4.2 tremor shakes much of the country’s north

Santo Domingo.- A 4.2 magnitude tremor was felt in much of the country’s north region, specifically Samaná, the Santo Domingo State University Seismology Institute reports Tuesday.

It said the quake occurred 11:05am, 42 kilometers north of Samana at 19.4 north latitude and 69.4 east longitude, at 38 kilometers in depth.

No damages or injuries have been reported, but people say they felt the tremor.
