Widely scattered showers, drought parches south region

Santo Domingo.- The weather bureau (Onamet) forecasts widely scattered showers over the North, Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountains, from a frontal system located north of the country.

Moreover, Onamet said the prevailing east -southeast wind continues to drag humidity over the country, leading to precipitation for the next 24 to 48 hours.

It said the seasonal drought will continue, but the expected rainfall isn’t enough to ease the intense drought, especially in the South, Southwest and Northwest, whose inhabitants are urged to ration water.
