Government to build three new bridges in the capital

Santo Domingo.– The Government is planning to build three bridges between the Dominican capital and the east and north areas in Santo Domingo, aimed at improving traffic during the rush hours.

Two of these road projects would be built between the bridge Juan Bosch and Francisco del Rosario Sanchez, due to the deterioration of the latter.

State Works Engineers Supervising Office (OISOE) director Miguel Pimentel yesterday revealed that these two bridges would be built at the height of the Ozama River, contrary to the existing structure, for their construction will be cheaper.
