Forecast: few rains, high temperatures

Santo Domingo.- There isa chance of light scattered showers over the central cordillera and thesouthwest today, according to the National Meteorological Office (Onamet)forecast.

The high temperaturesare the result of a frontal sysem over western Cuba, moving slowly eastwards.

Onamet says that thechances of rain over the Dominican Republic remain low, due to thehigh-pressure system that is moving away eastwards. There will be warmsoutheast breezes with low humidity.
