Former Dominican senior antinarcotics official extradited to U.S.

Santo Domingo.- The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) confirmed the extradition to the United States of its former Chief Operations Officer Francisco Hiraldo Guerrero, .

DNCD spokesman Roberto Lebron said Hiraldo Guerrero will face drug related charges in the case of the international network headed by former Army captain Quirino Paulino and other drug cartels.

According Lebron, Hiraldo Guerrero decided to go voluntarily to the United States after being asked by that nation. The flight that took him to New York departed at 1:45 pm on Friday from Las Americas International Airport (AILA).

The DNCD had revealed that millions worth of bank accounts and several of Hiraldo’s properties have been confiscated.
