As many as 40 boatpeople missing at Northwest coast

Santo Domingo. – A group of from 13 to more than 40 Dominicans who allegedly set course to Florida went missing after leaving the coast of Montecristi (northwest) on board a small boat.

Dominican Navy patrol craft Capotillo and two US Coast Guard aircraft joined the search for the boatpeople Friday morning.

Two private craft and divers also joined the search, paid for by some of the relatives of the missing.
