Mostly sunny; scattered showers over SW, border area

Santo Domingo.- The skies were mostly clear over the east, north and northeast with no rain expected Monday morning, while the southwest and border area are partly cloudy, with scattered showers.

The Weather Bureau (Onamet) said a trough over eastern Cuba will bring some downpours over the territory Monday afternoon, mostly for the Southwest and the border area, continuing over the central region and the Northeast at dusk, decreasing after midnight.

Onamet forecasts showers with thunderstorms for the early part of the week, continuing at mid-week from an approaching trough now over the Bahamas.
