Deputy convicted of statutory rape is back in Congress

Santo Domingo.- The Chamber of Deputies on Tuesday reinstated deputy Ramon A. Fernandez, after the legislator served six months in prison on a statutory rape conviction,

The Santiago Rodriguez province lawmaker served his one year prison sentence in Najayo on the Supreme Court conviction, suspended for six months.

The deputy had a 6-month relationship with Darialis Estevez, then 14.
