Upper level trough brings widely scattered showers

Santo Domingo.- An upper level trough and the prevailing east wind will increase rainfall over Dominican territory, with widely scattered showers, the National Weather Office forecasts Wednesday.

It said the rains will be more frequent over the West, Northwest, Southwest, Cibao Valley and Central Mountains, gradually spreading to the East and Northeast.

It forecasts showers with thunderstorms for Thursday afternoon over the East, Northwest, Central Mountains, border region and Southwest.
