Showers taper off but flash flood warnings continue

Santo Domingo. – Although the trough that drenched many parts of the country begins to weaken, rains continue today and tomorrow, as several provinces continue under a flash flood warning.

The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts scattered showers with thunderstorms for the next 24 to 48 hours for all regions except the Northwest.

It said the rains result from increasing cloudiness from a trough, and warns residents in low-lying areas on overflowing rivers.
