Cattle rustler steals an entire heard, nabbed on a bike

Santo Domingo.- The National Police on Friday said it arrested a man who was on the loose after rustling 72 heads of cattle and stealing several ranching pieces of equipment from the farm where he worked.

It said Jose Alberto Flores Lantigua, 43, was arrested on an arrest warrant along a span of the Puerto Plata-Santiago highway, while he was driving a motorcycle.

The farm’s owner José Aristides Almonte filed the complaint May 17, and affirmed that that stolen cattle and equipment worth more than RD$2.0 million.
