Groups take anti-corruption push to the National Palace

Santo Domingo. – Several civil society organizations will stage the "2nd citizens’ parade against corruption and impunity" in front of the National Palace Tuesday afternoon, to demand a halt to the filing corruption cases away and to prevent the expiration of criminal charges.

The Tax Justice Movement, Citizen Participation, the Dominican Anti-Corruption Assiciation, Ciudad Alternativa, Citizen Forum, The Bono Center and La Multitud figure among the organizations expected to take part in the activity.

"Your active and responsible participation is what the country needs to end corruption and impunity,” tweeted the Tax Justice Movement.

With the slogan "Stop that," which has become the network’s popular hashtag, the various groups call on all citizens to support the peaceful protest starting 5pm at the intersection of Mexico Av. and Delgado St., in front of the National Palace.
