Scattered showers, thunderstorms for the next 48 hours

Santo Domingo. – The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts continuing downpours with thunderstorms for all regions except the southwest Thursday afternoon and early evening, from a tropical wave over western Haiti and a trough over eastern Cuba.

It said scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected for the next 24 to 48 hours over most regions.

Onamet said it watches a low pressure system located east of the Caribbean Sea, but which the National Hurricane Center gives it a low probability (10%) of becoming tropical storms in the coming days.
