More rain; hot and humid weather ahead

Santo Domingo.- The NationalMeteorological Office (ONAMET) informs that the approach of another tropical system,located to the east of Puerto Rico yesterday afternoon, will lead to a slightincrease in downpours and thunderstorms in the south east, south west, centralmountains and border regions. Forecasters say that temperatures will remainhigh.

The weather patterns willcontinue to be dominated by humidity and instability caused by a weather systemto the northeast of the country combined with east-south easterly winds,causing thunder and lightning.

This system is associatedwith a tropical system located some 1,490km to the east of the Lesser Antilleswith a 10% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone between today and tomorrow. Anothertropical system is observed to the west of the African coast.
