Mostly sunny skies, scattered showers for some areas

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts continuing scattered showers over the Northeast, Southeast, Central Mountains and border area, from a trough over the Mona Passage.

It said an area of ??showers and thunderstorms associated with a low pressure system near the coast of Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula has a 20% of becoming a tropical cyclone today or tomorrow.

It adds that Tropical Storm Humberto, located around 420 kilometers west of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands, packs winds of 110 kilometers per hour, moving west-northwest at 13 KPH.
