Medina flies to NYC Sunday to address UN General Assembly
Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina will fly to New York City Sunday to take part in the UN General Assembly and other official activities while in the United States.
According to a statement from the Las Americas Airport Protocol office, Medina is slate to depart the county at 8am Sunday aboard a Delta Airlines flight to New York City.
It said a delegation of senior Government officials and military aides will accompany Medina, the second time he attends the General Assembly, where last year he proposed that global financial entities bolster their efforts to assist developing countries such as the Dominican Republic to surmount poverty.
Medina is slated to return to the country aboard a private flight to Las Americas Airport at 7:30pm Thursday.
