High temps, widely scattered showers continue through the weekend

Santo Domingo.- The unseasonably high temperatures continue for much of the Dominican Republic Friday, with increasing cloudiness and some widely scattered showers in the afternoon over the Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountains.

The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts widely scattered showers for the next 24 to 48 hours, with a slight increase in cloudiness for Greater Santo Domingo, with high temperatures from the prevailing southeast wind.

Onamet adds that a large cloud mass associated with a low pressure system moves West/Northwest, but it’s unlikely to be developed into tropical cyclone by Saturday.
