Agents seize 1,060Ks cocaine on Dominican Republic’s south coast

Santo Domingo.- A joint Monday night operation between several law enforcement agencies and the military netted 1,060 kilos of cocaine in 1,060 packages, at Punta Salinas, Bani, south-central Peravia Province.

The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD), the Navy and the Army conducted the raid and detained three suspects which the authorities have yet to identify.

The DNCD revealed however, that it has apprehended one Dominican, one Venezuelan and one Colombian, in connection with the drug seized from a speedboat on Caribbean waters.
