Tropical wave prompts flash flood warning for east, south regions

Santo Domingo.- The emergency operations center (COE) issued alerts for nine eastern and southern provinces, as a tropical wave unleashes downpours over much of the country.

It warned residents near rivers and streams to take precautions on possible landslides and flash floods.

The COE said residents in those provinces living on steep slopes should follow instructions issued by first response agencies.
