Haitians work in Dominican pot farms, Antinarcotics says

Santo Domingo.-The head of the National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) revealed Thursday that investigations uncovered that Haitian nationals are being used to grow marijuana in the country.

Maj. Gen. Julio César Souffront spoke regarding the confiscation of 693 marijuana plants in a farm in the southern community La Cuaba, in Bani.

Interviewed at a graduation of 50 agents at the DNCD Academy, Souffront said his agents seek those who’re funding the activity, but declined to provide details on the names of those involved, citing the Justice Ministry’s instructions.
