Pontiff receives Dominican senators at the Vatican

Vatican City, Rome.- Dominican Republic Senate president Reinaldo Pared, accompanied by a group of colleagues was received by Pope Francis, as part of the lawmakers’ agenda in Italy Wednesday.

Pared said the pontiff told him he’ll include the Dominican people and president Danilo Medina in his prayers.

They both stressed the good relations between the Holy See, the Dominican people and their Government.

During the conversation at the Vatican Pared was accompanied by his wife Ingrid Mendoza, and senators Charlie Mariotti, Euclides Sánchez, Luis René Canaán, Tommy Galán and Antonio Cruz.
