A 4.0 tremor shakes Dominican Republic Central Mountains

Santo Domingo.- A 4.0 magnitude tremor shook Dominican Republic’s Central Mountains Thursday morning, and felt at 7am in the towns of San José de Ocoa and Cotui.

The quake was 8.6 kilometers in depth and its center was located at Rancho Arriba, 16 kilometers north of Ocoa, according to the Santo Domingo State University UASD Seismology Institute.

There are no reports of injuries or damages from Sánchez Ramírez province.
