Clashing systems bring scattered showers, thunderstorms

Santo Domingo.- A frontal system over the eastern part of the country moving east and the tropical wave over Haiti moving west will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to much of the country, except the Southwest.

The National Meteorology Office forecasts lower than normal temperatures throughout the country, from a north/northeast wind.

It said the scattered showers with thunderstorms will continue for next 24 to 48 hours, mostly over the Southeast, Northeast, and Central Mountains, but will become heavier on Saturday and Sunday, from an approaching trough.
