Watch out for bogus RD$2,000 bills, Central Bank warns

Santo Domingo.- The Central Bank on Wednesday warned citizens that it has detected series 2013 counterfeit bills of RD$2,000.

"We have taken pertinent preventive measures with the entities of the national financial system to mitigate the harm which could cause to the population," the Central Bank said in a statement.

It adds that the necessary procedures with the judicial, law enforcement and investigative agencies have been conducted, so that the “unscrupulous persons responsible for this action are duly punished.”
