Lawyer denies Puerto Rican kingpin’s paramour kept jailed at U.S. behest

Santo Domingo.- The lawyer for Sobeida Felix, paramour of Puerto Rican kingpin José Figueroa Agosto (Junior Capsula), denied Thursday she’s being kept behind bars at the United States’ behest, to testify against her boyfriend and other drug related cases.

Felix Portes called the reports false, rumors and speculations by several media which he didn’t name.

Félix, sentenced to five years in prison by a National District Criminal Court in 2011 for money laundering, requested parole in January, but denied by San Cristobal Sentencing judge Willis de Jesus Nuñez.

The convict, currently at Najayo prison, could again request parole after serving more than half of her 5-year sentence.
