More cocaine shipped from Dom. Rep. seized in France

Paris.- French Customs agents at Paris’Charles de Gaulle-Rossy airport on Monday reported the confiscation of 42 kilos of cocaine the past week, shipped from Colombia and Dominican Republic, Efe reports.

It set the drug’s street value at 2.7 million euros (US$3.6 million).

In a statement, French Customs said on 8 November police found 1.7 kilos of cocaine in the luggage of a 77-year-old Colombian citizen in a wheelchair. “Two days later two Dutch passengers flying from Santo Domingo to Paris were arrested with 18.6 and 18.8 kilograms of cocaine in his luggage.”

It said a Spaniard flying from Bogota to Paris was arrested November 12, after it was discovered that he hid 2.7 kilos of cocaine in four bags of milk and cocoa and in the heels of a pair of shoes. “French Customs seized a total 4.6 tons of cocaine In 2012.”
