Towns in the Central Mountains break out the sweaters

Santo Domingo.- The inhabitants of several regions will have start dusting off their sweaters to deal with temperatures as low as 13 degrees Celsius expected this week, the National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts Tuesday.

It said temperatures in Constanza (central mountains) will range from 13 to 14 degrees C this week, with a high of 26 degrees.

Onamet forecasts seasonably mild temperatures Tuesday night, while a frontal system and the prevailing east-northeast wind will bring scattered showers with thunderstorms.
