Lawsuit led to armed clash on busy avenue: Police

Santo Domingo.- National Police chief Manuel Castro on Thursday clarified that the armedconfrontation on the busy Los Próceres Av. was a brawl among employees of two formerpartners, one of which won a court fight over a business.

He affirmed that the national police had nothing to dowith the incident and that retired general Juan Fructuoso Heredia took anythingfrom the building, as employees of the business told media.

It was also learned that at least one Canadian isinvolved in the lawsuit which led to the brawl during which shots were fired,but no injuries reported and at least 19 men arrested.
