Antinarcotics agents arrest four, seize 2 packs of cocaine

Santo Domingo.– Antinarcotics (DNCD) agents arrested four men and seized two packs of cocaine weighing 2.6 kilos, at a time when the suspects intended to carry out a transaction in the Ozama sector.

According to the DNCD spokesperson Miguel Medina, the suspects are part of an international network that received the drug from Jamaica and Venezuela. One of them is accused of being a major drug dealer.

Medina explained Friday that the arrest was possible due to the hard work of intelligence against the man who heads the presumed drug ring, who, once discovered, tried to bribe the agents by offering two million pesos to let them free.
