Puerto Rico 6.8 tremor felt in Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- A 6.8 magnitude tremor with epicenter north of Puerto Rico was felt in some parts of the Dominican Republic, mostly in the east region around midnight Monday .

The Santo Domingo State University (UASD) Seismology Institute said the quake took place 12:01am at 19.2 latitude, 66.6 longitude and 41 kilometers deep.

The information was offered by Nelson Ramirez of the Institute of Seismology of the University autonomous of Santo Domingo (UASD).
