Tough prosecutor surprise winner in Government awards

Santo Domingo.- The Government’s health insurance provider (Senasa) took the award on quality service for the public, in a National Palace ceremony headed by president Danilo Medina Thursday night, in which a tough prosecutor was the surprising winner.

The award in its ninth year acknowledges quality practices in the Public Sector, and also included with gold medals the Ney Arias Lora Hospital, the National School of the Judiciary, the Juan Bosch Hospital, the Civil Aviation Institute, the National Treasury and the Civil Aviation Board.

But the surprise was the silver medal for the National District Office of the Prosecutor, headed by Yenny Berenice Reynoso, whose tough attitude has drawn fire from sectors whove even asked for her ouster.

Silver medals were also awarded to the Dominican Republic Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD), the National Energy Commission and the regulator, Health Risks Administrator.
