Foreign Minister is back, 2 days after concern for absence

Santo Domingo.- Just 48 hours since Dominican media reported the concern by various sectors over the extended “absence” of Foreign Relations minister Carlos Morales, the official returned to work “bright-eyed and bushy-tailed” Wednesday, after four months of treatment for leukemia.

The diplomat met with President Danilo Medina today at the National Palace, where he was seen walking down the hallway which ends at the chief executive’s office. He then departed after 25 minutes.

The lack of access to the area where Morales boarded his vehicle kept the reporters from ask about his leukemia treatment in the U.S.

The official hadn’t been seen at the National Palace since last September 24.
