Puerto Rican kingpin’s paramour to remain in jail

Santo Domingo.- Money laundering convict Sobeida Felix, Dominican Republic’s most famous inmate, was denied parole Thursday by San Cristóbal sentencing judge Willy de Jesus Nunez, who said she has yet to compensate society morally.

Felix is serving a five-year sentence in connection with Puerto Rican kingpin and her paramour Jose Figueroa Agosto’s drug trafficking network.

The inmate, serving her sentence at Najayo prison, said she requested her release to be with her mother she affirms is seriously ill.
